มาคราวนี้ ก็ได้เพ่ิมเติมในส่วน Dock preview ซึ่งผมเองก็สงสัยอยู่ตั้งแต่แรกแล้วว่า ทำไมไม่ทำให้ Preview ในส่วน Dock ตั้งแต่แรก อิอิ... สงสัยเก็บไว้ Update ตอนหลัง... พร้อม features ใหม่ๆ อีกเพียบ ลอง download demo มาทดลองใช้ดูก่อนก็ได้เลยนะครับ คริ คริ...

• New Features

- New "Dock Preview" in the collection view. Now see a dock style before using it!
- Dock previews can be displayed over the Desktop Picture or collection background
- Added additional changeable icons to System, including the "Location Icons"
- Added Cancel button to the Change view, to clear un-applied modified icons

• Other Changes

- Added ability to add Dock parts to the current collection
- Added a top level "change" menu to improve accessibility of some features
- Can now clear a collection's Dock
- Reorganized / improved the Save as iContainer panel options (making it easier to save Dock only iContainers)
- Added contextual menu to open icon author's website
- Improved "deleting" feedback to clarify delete methods
- Fixed a potential issue with deleting icons/collections
- Option-Delete now acts like Command-Delete to move icons and collections to the Trash
- Icon metadata will be maintained when saving System icons to an iContainer
- Fixed a potential crash when applying volume icons
- Migrating Pixadex data no longer fails when library path has never been set
- Converting from Pixadex 1.x library now works as expected
- Importing icos with png data is now more reliable
- Can now set a custom folder/smart collection icon

- Fixed crash on launch when Helvetica Neue isn't installed
- Collections can now be named the same if desired
- "Save iContainer As..." file menu is enabled in more situations

- Importing images larger than 512x512 will now create a 512x512 icon of that image

หลังจากที่ได้แนะนำ Product "CandBar" จาก "Panic" ผู้ผลิตไปบางส่วนแล้ว ที่นี้มา Review วิธีการใช้งานต่างๆ ให้ดูดีกว่าครับ ว่าใน V.3 นี้ CandyBar จะทำอะไรกันได้บ้าง?

ด้วยหน้าตาที่เปลี่ยนใหม่ รูปแบบ Layout การใช้งานต่างๆ ก็เปลี่ยนแปลงตามไปด้วย โดยดึงเอาความสามารถของ "Pixadex" โปรแกรมมากความสามารถจาก iconfactory.com



เข้ามาไว้รวมกัน ทำให้การใช้งานสะดวกขึ้นมาก ในการ Set icons ต่างๆ เก็บไว้ใน Organize Sidebar ด้านซ้ายมือ โดยใน Sidebar ด้านซ้ายมือนั้นประกอบไปด้วย

• Change: ตัวเลือกสำหรับเปลี่ยน แบ่งเป็น 4 set คือ System Icons, Application Icons, Dock และ Volume Icons

• Organize: จัดการ icon sets เก็บเป็น List ให้เป็นระเบียบ

• Quick Drop: จับ icon เปลี่ยนได้ทันที ตามที่เราเลือกเลย



ตอนนี้สามารถหา iCon Sets สำหรับ Leopard โดยเฉพาะได้ที่ iconfactory.com ซึ่งบาง Set จะมีการ update ใส่ dock เพ่ิมเข้าไปด้วย



• ขั้นตอนการใช้งาน

หลังจากที่ได้ downloads icon sets เตรียมไว้แล้ว ที่นี้ก็สั่ง Import เข้ามาที่ Organize โดยไปที่ Menu ...File/Import/iContainer...



เลือก icon sets ที่ต้องการ จากนั้นคลิก "Open"

หรือง่ายๆ Drag & Drop icon sets ใส่ใน Organize ก็ได้ครับ



เลือกคลิก Preview ดูที่ icon sets นั้น ก็จะแสดงผลทันที ตรงนี้เราสามารถใช้ Feature "Quick Look" เพื่อดู icon ได้อย่างชัดเจน โดยสามารถ Preview ขนาดได้ถึง 512x512 Pixel ( select icon click "Spacebar" )



เมื่อเลือก icon sets ที่ต้องการแล้ว กด "Use These Icon" หรือ "Use These Dock" ได้เลย





หลังจากที่ประมวลผลเสร็จแล้ว ตัวโปรแกรมจะ Preview อีกครั้ง ก่อนทำการกด "Apply Icons" ชอบแล้วก็กดได้เลย...



ใส่ Password




จากนั้นทำการ Relaunch Dock


หากเปลี่ยนแปลงในส่วนของ System Icons นั้น จำเป็นต้องทำการ "Log Out" ด้วยครับ






สรุปว่า "CandyBar" Version 3.0 สำหรับ Mac OS X 10.5 สุดยอดจริงๆ ครับ มีลูกเล่นผสมสานกันอย่างลงตัว ทำงานได้เร็วขึ้นสะดวกขึ้น ยังไงอย่าลืมหามาติดตั้งในเครื่องกันนะครับ ขอบคุณครับ ^^

จากรายงานจะเห็นว่า มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงสิ่งใหม่ๆ เพ่ิมขึ้นอีกหลายๆ ส่วน ตั้งแต่หน้าตา



การเพ่ิม Quick Look เข้าไป ทำให้ Preview iCons ได้ง่าย ขนาด icons ที่ใหญ่ขึ้นถึง 512x512 ว้าว!!!... ซึ่งทำให้ CandyBar น่าใช้งานมากยิ่งขึ้น เป็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงครั้งใหญ่เลยที่เดียว



และที่แจ่มที่สุด คือ การปรับแต่ง "Dock" ซึ่งทำได้ง่าย และรวดเร็ว เพราะมี Quick Drop เข้ามาช่วย เยี่ยมจริงๆ เวอร์ชั่นนี้
